Information about the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless

Hello everyone, Starting this week, we will try to put short video of Task Force activities and announcements of upcoming events on the Task Force facebook page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=115431881821315&v=wall and Youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/homelesstaskforce?feature=mhum.Please forward these short videos to people on your email lists or other facebook pages or other social networking sites. YOU CAN HELP US by getting the word out about what we are doing at the Task Force and how people who are concerned about the homeless can help us.
We always need more VOLUNTEERS at our center, more creative ideas as how to serve our homeless brothers and sisters in our communities better, and respond to their needs (short term and long term). As we all know with the current economic situation and high rate of unemployment more and more people are losing their homes, and the number of homeless people is increasing. Through our 24-Hour Homeless Assistance Hotline, Day Service Center, Transitional Housing, and Emergency Overflow Shelter, we SERVE as many homeless men and women as we can. In our Day Services Center, we serve an average of more than 100 different homeless people a week. Your financial contribution, no matter how small, will help us to continue with our efforts. You or your church/mosque/synagogue, or your organization or business can supply us with the following items: personal hygiene products for men and women, Breeze MARTA cards, office supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, art supplies for our studio/gallery, vinyl mattresses, snacks, coffee, tea, water in bottles, cleaning supplies, hardware supplies, live indoor plants, musical instruments, CDs, DVDs, games and sports supplies….
